Holy Knights Templar Guild

Sanctus Militaris Templi Ordo

The Flag of the Holy Knights Templar Guild

The flag of the Holy Knights Templar is believed to predate 1147 this being the year that Pope Eugenius III sanctified the use of the blood Red Cross of the Order. Its geometry can be found in many sacred buildings such as the Dome of Rock in Jerusalem and most famously Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland. The significance of the Holy Knights Templar Guild(HKTG) flag is found more in its reprosentation to the eight Beatitudes that were bequifed by Jesus in his Serman on the Mount, which were later documented in the Bible (Mathew). The Beatitudes are the founding principles of the HKTG and as such are the guiding light to our Spiritual Enlightenment.
